Rapid As-Builts: From Site Visit to Data in Days

The Mission

Our client, a provider of millwork and GC/Project Management services, asked for a detailed set of as-built plans to aid in future reimaging, materials takeoffs, and other construction and maintenance applications. Rather than relying on older design drawings that may or may not reflect accurate site conditions, our surveyed plans show site details as they exist in the real world.

The Deliverables

1. Virtual Site Walkthrough: We provided a 360 virtual walkthrough of the full interior as well as the exterior drive thru, parking, and signage areas.
2. Site Plan: We created a detailed site plan that includes parking areas, driveways, hardscapes and landscaping, surface infrastructure, drive through components, and showed the location of the QSR building within the surrounding area.
3. Floor Plan: We developed an accurate floor plan that shows the layout of the interior space with dimensions.
4. Ceiling Plan: The ceiling layout was captured, including lighting fixtures, HVAC vents, sprinklers, and other elements, in the servery and customer areas of the restaurant.
5. Exterior Elevations: We provided elevation drawings for all sides of the building. Highlight architectural features, signage, windows, and doors. These elevations are essential for design consistency and compliance with local regulations.

Our efficient workflows that involve both onsite and remote drafting, combined with the detailed data capture of lidar and 360 imaging meant that we turned around our work products within 1-2 business days from our 1-day site visit.
